Abstract
An efficient, rapid and environmentally benign approach for direct reductive amination of aldehydes and ketones is reported. Themild and economical process requires only catalytic amount of 2, 4, 6-trichloro-1, 3, 5-triazine (TCT) and utilizes Hantzsch ester for transfer hydrogenation and provides rapid access to the structurally diverse amines in high yields.
