Abstract

A short protocol for the synthesis of ïÂÂÂГѓЖ’Гўв‚¬ЕЎГѓвЂљГ‚ВЃ§-carboxy-ïÂÂÂГѓЖ’Гўв‚¬ЕЎГѓвЂљГ‚ВЃ§-lactones has been developed via hydroboration followed by oxidation of ïÂÂÂГѓЖ’Гўв‚¬ЕЎГѓвЂљГ‚ВЃ¡-hydroxy-4-pentenoates.
