Abstract
In the present investigation a series of naphthyl e thers have been synthesized by the micellar mediated reactions of naphthols with equimolar mixt ure of phenacyl or benzyl bromide- triethylamine in 70% methanol/water (v/v) at 30 0 C. The structures of the compounds have been confirmed by elemental and spectral analysis. The compounds have also been screened for their antimicrobial activities.
