Anthelmintic and anti-microbial activity of some novel chalcone derivatives

Abstract

In this study, substituted chalcone derivatives wer e synthesized and their Anthelmintic and Anti- microbial activities were carried out. Chalcone derivatives w ere obtained by the treatment of substituted acetophenone with substituted aromatic and hetero aromatic aldehydes. The structure elucidation of the compounds was performed by UV, I R, 1 H NMR. Generally the prepared compound exhibited only moderate Anthelmintic and A nti-microbial activity; however, a few of them exhibited good activity.
