Abstract
Diazotized aryl amineswere coupledwith 3- (pyridin-3-yl) isoxazol-5(4H)- ones 1 to produce the corresponding 4-arylazo-3-(pyridin-3-yl) isoxazol- 5(4H)-ones (2a-o) in reasonable yields. These dyes were applied to wool, polyester, a blend of(30/70%) wool/polyester and linen as disperse dyes, and their fastness properties were evaluated.
