Abstract
Lipases are ubiquitous in nature and have several potential applications in the food, detergent, pharmaceutical, leather, textile, cosmetic, and paper industries. The growing demand for lipases has aroused more attention to prospecting for novel lipases with established technical applications. Herein, cloning and expression of lipase genes with microbial origin is highlighted.
