Coaching behavior and leadership in sport motivation

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate coaching behavior and leadership in sport motivation of male athletes in sport clubs. The research method was descriptive and the research type was correlative. A total of 130 athletes in sport clubs randomly selected as a sample of this study. Three questionnaires were used to collect the data. Criterion variable in this study was sport motivation and predictor variables were coach leadership and behavior styles. The construct validity and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were used for testing the questionnaires validity and reliability. Both coefficients obtained were significant (P
