Abstract
Developments in Diffusion MRI Modalities and their Impact on Cranial Neurosurgery Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques based on diffusion have been in existence for just over two decades; however, their use in clinical practice has only recently caught up. Diffusion weighted imaging and diffusion tensor imaging are two modalities of MRI that have the potential to provide neurosurgeons with important diagnostic information in the preoperative and intraoperative settings.
