Abstract

Interaction of 27 ortho, meta and para derivatives of pyridine and phenol have been studied with the halides (chloride, bromide and iodide) of titanium and silicon. It has been found that the donor organic base C6H4OHNO2-m forms least stable complex with the acceptor metal halide TiI4 and donor organic base C6H4OHCONH2-p forms most stable complex with the acceptor metal halide SiCl4.
