Abstract
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), responsible for the current pandemic of corona virus disease-19 (COVID-19), represents a great challenge to healthcare systems worldwide. At present, indisputably effective drug therapies against SARS-CoV-2 are still not available; thus, the most effective preventive strategy is to avoid being exposed to the virus.
