Abstract

Effects of Calorie Restriction and Soybean and Olive Oils on Oxidative Stress in Obese The study evaluated the effect of a hypocaloric-diet with two types of lipids, soybean oil and olive oil, on markers of oxidative stress in blood: activity of catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione S-transferase (GST), glutathione reductase (GR), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx), as well as contents of reduced glutathione (GSH), and thiobarbituric acid reactive species (TBARS).
