Abstract

Biginelli reactionwas carried out using europiumtriflate as a catalyst to obtain the corresponding products of 3,4-dihydropyrimidones in excellent yields. The conden-sationwas applicable to a variety of aldehydes with ethylacetoacetate and urea at ac-reetonitrile reflux.
