Abstract

Fungal Opportunist Infection: Common and Emerging Fungi in Immunocompromised Patients The frequency of systemic fungal infection has considerably elevated in patients with an immunosuppressive state in current years. As diagnostic methods have been advanced and the number of immunocompromised patients (AIDS, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation HSCT, chemotherapy for cancer patients, autoimmune disorder) has increased spectacularly, clinicians and scientists have started to research more seriously into the mechanisms of disease and their correlation with vulnerable populations.
