Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection is a serious problem in patientshospitalized with cancer, cystic fibrosis (CF) and in intensive care units (ICUs). Twitchingmotility contributes to the virulence of P. aeruginosa and permits colonizationand infection of the respiratory tract. Genetic relatedness and cross-infection bymultidrug-resistant (MDR) P. aeruginosa could be identified by the random amplifiedpolymorphic (RAPD) – PCR genotypic identification system.
