Abstract

Herpes simplex virus (HSV) encephalitis is the fulminant necrotizing viral encephalitis associated with high mortality and morbidity. Here we report a case presenting HSV encephalitis mimicking cerebral infarction without any neurological deficit and subsequently recovered with intensive intravenous acyclovir therapy.
