Abstract

Strontiummanganate (SrMno4) in presence of aluminumchloride (AlCl3) is an efficient reagent for the high yielding oxidative deprotection of aromatic and aliphatic silyl and pyranyl ethers in to their corresponding carbonyl compounds, in solution and under solvent free conditions.
