This paper discusses the Mayo Classification System for Traumatic Brain Injury Severity. This system is viewed as an innovative system which distinguishes between different severities of traumatic brain injury in keeping with the general outcome literature regarding traumatic brain injury. In addition, this system emphasises the probability that the brain has been injured.
