Isocyanic-based multicomponent synthesis of novel polysubstituted furans in water

Abstract

An ultrasound assisted, rapid and eco-friendly procedure for the synthesis of new fully substituted furans employing one-pot three-component condensation reaction of 1,3-di (pyridin-2-yl) propane-1,3-dione or 1,3- diphenylpropane-1,3-dione, aryl aldehydes and cyclyhexyl isocyanide has been developed in water.
