Abstract

A wide variety of disubstituted oxadiazole derivatives have been synthesized via a one-pot three-component reaction of Nisocyaniminotriphenylphosphorane, an aromatic aldehyde, and aromatic carboxylic acid in CH3CN at ambient temperature in high yields without using any catalyst or activation. The procedure provides an alternative method for the synthesis of fully substituted oxadiazole derivatives.
