Microwave assisted synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of some 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole derivatives

Abstract

Reaction of isonicotinohydrazide with different aromatic aldehydes under the microwave irradiation gives Schiff’s bases. These Schiff’s bases were converted into 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole derivatives by treating with acetic anhydride under the microwave irradiation. The structures of the compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, 1HNMR and Mass spectral data’s .The synthesized compounds were screened for antimicrobial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities.
