Microwave Assisted Synthesis of 1-(3 -Chlorophenyl)-3, 5- Diaryl Pyrazoles

Abstract

Esterification of substituted acetophenone with aromatic acids followed by B.V. transformation gives
- diketone, which on microwave irradiation with m-chlorophenyl hydrazine hydrochloride give 1-(3-chlorophenyl)-3,5-diaryl–pyrazoles (2a-f). The structures of these compounds were established by elemental, chemical and spectral analysis (IR, NMR). The properties of these compounds are found to be similar to the compounds obtained by usual method.
