Microwave assisted synthesis of 3-amino 1H-pyrazoles catalyzed by p-toluenesulphonic acid

Abstract

An efficient synthesis of 3-amino 1H-pyrazoles is described. Reaction of -keto-nitriles with hydrazines in the presence of catalytic amount of ptoluenesulphonic acid under microwave irradiation afforded the corresponding 3-amino 1H-pyrazole in excellent yields. The method is general for the preparation of a wide variety of 3-amino 1H-pyrazole.
