On the Number of Irreducible Polynomials Over GF(2) with some Prescribed Coefficients

Abstract

In this paper we evaluate the number of monic irreducible polynomials in ﾃδｰﾃつ敕や�敕つｽ2[ﾃδｰﾃつ敕や�佚つ･] of even degree ﾃδｰﾃつ敕や�佚や�ｺ whose first four coefficients have prescribed values. This problem first studied in [7] and some approximate results are obtained. Our results extends the results given in [7] in some cases.
