Abstract
Phenylketonuria (PKU) - What Next? Mini-Review treatment of PKU is presented. This includes: 1. Worldwide expansion of newborn screening. 2. Uniform classification of the phenotypes. 3. Exploring the frequency of normal intellectual function in untreated patients. 4. Defining the reasons for suboptimal intellectual function in early treated PKU. 5. Developing centers of excellence for the treatment of adults with PKU. 6. Exploring new adjunct/alternative treatments/cures.
