Photocatalytic Degradation of Azure a on Carbon Doped Zinc Oxide

Abstract

The photocatalytic activity of pure ZnO and Carbon doped ZnO was compared by investigating the photodegradation of azure A under visible light. The reaction was monitored spectrophotmetrically. The effect of various parameters on the rate of reduction was observed. It was observed that carbon doped catalyst showed higher activity than the pure ZnO under visible light irradiation
