Propane-1,2,3-triyl tris(hydrogen sulfate): An alternative,eco-friendly catalyst for synthesis of substituted pyrimidinones

Abstract

Propane-1,2,3-triyl tris(hydrogen sulfate) catalyzed simple, one pot, solventfree and environmentally benign process for synthesis of substituted pyrimidinones via Biginelli reaction is described. It was found that the catalyst is reusable and exhibited remarkable activity.
