Quick Brain MRI in a Tertiary Pediatric Emergency Department: A Retrospective Study on Use Patterns and Accuracy

Monica Saladik MD1, Nathan Sel

Abstract

QuickBrain MR imaging (qbMRI) is a diagnostic option used to evaluate and follow shunt-treated hydrocephalus patients. This study describes current use and indications at a single pediatric tertiary referral hospital for qbMRI beyond shunted hydrocephalus. The study also attempts to compare qbMRI findings to any standard MRI or computed tomography (CT) neuroimaging.
