Abstract

Chloroform fraction of the ethanol extract of the stem bark of D. binectariferum, was evaluated for its larvicidal & insecticidal activities. Larvae of the yellowfever mosquito, Aedes aegypti L., & Housefly, Musca domestica L.. The results were found to be encouraging, to prove that the plant has a potential to be developed as a source of larvicidal & insecticidal principles.
