Screening of disease resistant varieties against loose smut of wheat

Abstract

Experiments were conducted to find out the screening of disease resistant variety against loose smut wheat of laboratory condition in during 2012-2013. I have screening 20 germplasm/variety each of 15 varieties infected from loose smut of wheat, and 5 germplasm/ varieties not infected from loose smut of wheat, which are respectively effect of different varieties N.H.-1012, HUW-468, WH – 147, PBW- 502, WG-377. And highest infected of different varieties are T.B.W.-396 (36%), H.D. - 4672 (36 %). I have obtained different results of pots condition in during period 2012-2013 each of 17 varieties infected from loose smut of wheat, and 3 germplasm/ varieties not infected from loose smut of wheat, which are respectively effect of different varieties N.H.-1012, PBW- 502, HUW-468, and highest infected of different varieties are R.R.-21 (Sonalika) (33%), HP-1209 (33%), TBW-396 (36%), HD- 4672 (33%). And I have obtained different results of field condition in during period 2013-2014, each of 17 varieties infected from loose smut of wheat, and 3 germplasm/ varieties not infected from loose smut of wheat, which are respectively effect of different varieties N.H.-1012, PBW- 502, HUW-468, and highest infected of variety was R.R.- 21(Sonalika) (33%).
