Abstract

The reaction of aldehydes, -ketoester and urea/thiourea under solventfree microwave irradiation to afford the corresponding 3,4-dihydropyrimidi nones/thiones in high yields, shorter reaction times promoted by 1-butyl-3- methyl imidazoliumtetrafluroborate and magnesiumperchlorate.
