Some Aspects of the Synthesis of Crown Ethers

Abstract

As a result of this study, we have developed a new method for the synthesis of dibenzo-, benzoaza-, spiroaza-, benzthio- and other crown-ethers. High selective yields of crown-ethers have been obtained due to change in ratio of reacting components and use of different catalysts (ammonium, boron trifluoride etherate), as well as reaction conditions. Interphase debromation of dibroalkanes with crown-ethers has been studied.
