The diagnostic work-up included Tc_99m Leukocyte scintigraphy, computed-tomography, MRI and cultures. The infective organism was Oxacilline-sensitive sthaphylococcusaureus and the patient was successfully treated with intravenous amoxicillin+clavulanic acid combined with moxifluoxacin followed by surgery. Diagnosis of spondylodiscitis is frequently delayed. Suspicion for diagnosis is required in patients with back pain.
