Abstract
Effect of adding titanium dioxide nanoparticle (TiO2) on microstructure, thermal parameters, internal friction, and electrochemical corrosion behaviour of Sn61Bi25Sb5Zn4Al3Ag2 alloy has been studied using different experimental techniques. Microstructure of Sn61Bi25Sb5Zn4Al3Ag2 alloy changed after adding TiO2 nanoparticles. Lattice microstrain of Sn61Bi25Sb5Zn4Al3Ag2 alloy increased after adding TiO2 nanoparticles. Crystal size of β-Sn phase in Sn61Bi25Sb5Zn4Al3Ag2 alloy varied after adding TiO2 nanoparticles. Sn61Bi25Sb5Zn4Al2.4Ag2(TiO2)0.6 alloy has higher lattice microstrain and lower β-Sn phase crystal size. Internal friction and thermal diffusivity values of Sn61Bi25Sb5Zn4Al3Ag2 alloy decreased up to 0.9 wt% TiO2 and then increased with increasing the ratio of TiO2.
