Abstract
Aseries of newer phenyl 2-(3,4-dihydro-3-oxo-2H-benzo[b][1,4]thiazin-2- yl)acetate have been synthesized and studied for their in-vitro antimicrobial activity potency. Several compounds demonstrated promising antibacterial and antifungal activity; however, other tested compounds exhibited moderate to poor antimicrobial activity with respect to the reference drug used against the test strains.
