Abstract
A 4-acetamido-2-ethoxy benzoyl hydrazine 2 obtains by reacting hydrazine hydrate with methyl 4-acetamido-2-ethoxy phenyl benzoate. Further, compound 2 was condenser with different aryl sulphonyl chloride 3 in the presence of dry pyridine to afforded new N-aryl sulphonamide -4- acetamido-2-etnoxy benzamide derivatives in good yield (70-85%). The structure of newly synthesized compounds was confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, Mass spectral studies and elemental analysis. All the synthesized compounds have been screener for antimicrobial activity.
