Synthesis, characterization and antibacterial activity of new series of prenyloxy chalcones and prenyloxy flavanones

Abstract

The prenyloxy chalcones and prenyloxy flavanones were synthesized and tested for antibacterial effects against E.coli, S.auresus. The synthesized comopunds were characterized using IR, 1H NMR, and MS data. The antibacterial screening of the synthesized compounds were performed in vitro by the filter paper disc diffusion method.
