Synthesis, characterization and biocidal studies of some transition metal complexes containing tetra dentate and neutral bi dentate schiff base

Abstract

New mixed-ligand complexes of the transition metal ions Ni(II), Cu(II), Co(II), Fe(II), Mn(II), and Zn(II) with N,N’-bis[2-hydroxyacetophenone]ethylenediamine (OAcPh-en) and bis[4-methoxy benzylidene]ethylenediamine (MeBen-en) or bis[4-methoxybenzylidene]o-phenylinediamine (MeBen-opd) have been synthesized. The characterization of these newly synthesized mixed-ligand complexes were done by elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, Infrared spectra and uvvisible spectra, thermo gravimetric analysis, biocidal studies have also been under taken.
