Abstract

Reaction of chalcone dibromide with Hydrazinehydrate, phenylhydrazine and 2, 4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine afforded pyrazoles and with Hydroxylaminehydrochloride produced isoxazoles in triethylaminemedium in high yields. The structures of the products thus obtained were confirmed by their m.p., IR, 1HNMR andMass spectral data.
