Abstract

Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most commonly encountered cardiac arrhythmia in clinical practice. There are increasing evidences indicating that AF is associated with inflamation, abnormal hemostasis, fibrinolysis, thrombocytic and endothelial functions as well as creating a prothrombot.
