Thermal study of synthesized 1,2,4-triazole compounds and their kinetic parameter evaluation

Abstract

A series of 1,2,4-Triazole derivatives were synthesized by condensation reaction. These synthesized compounds (MM4c-e) were characterized by FT-IR, NMR, mass spectral and elemental analysis. The thermal stabilities of these compounds (MM4c-e) were investigated by simultaneous TGA and DSC methods. The decomposition steps and thermal behaviour of (MM4c-e) were investigated. The kinetic parameters such as order of reaction (n), energy of activation (Ea), pre-exponential factor (A), entropy of activation (DS#), enthalpy of activation (DH#) and Gibbs free energy of activation (DG#) were evaluated using by Freeman-Carroll method
