Abstract

The objective of this article is to discuss the possibilities that resulted in paresthesia and measures that can be taken to avoid them in future treatment. This article reports a case of transient mental nerve paresthesia after surgical removal of a fully embedded supernumerary tooth. The mental nerve paresthesia followed the compression of mental nerve after surgical removal of a mandibular fully embedded supernumerary tooth/mechanical trauma during the procedure and was resolved within seven days after the supernumerary tooth surgical removal procedure.
